Job Summary:

Suvi is hiring a talented Business Process consultant to support the U.S. Health and Human Services Office of the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs (ASPA). Ideal candidate will possess experience in enabling business transformation through use of sound business process analysis/reengineering, risk management, change management, and project management methodologies. This individual will support the assessment and improvement of business processes in support of the client organization and its people and processes. Management Consulting experience strongly desired.

Job Responsibilities

  • Our Process Improvement Consultant will help our HHS client manage and continuously improve their business processes, improve efficiency and operations. This includes:

  • Assists the Government leadership with oversight of initiatives key to new processes or program enhancements to ensures all activities are completed on time and meet program objectives.

  • Develops and maintains change management plans to improve day-to-day operations, enhance growth, or implements new solutions.

  • Assesses current processes and procedures across the program. Schedules and facilitates meetings to understand new processes and investigate potential enhancements for existing processes for greater efficiencies.

  • Develops new standard procedures, including documentation and communication/training materials.

  • Provides training and support to the team on the implementation of new processes.

  • Research elements relating to various ongoing projects.

  • Builds complete and accurate documentation of processes based on collaboration with SMEs and stakeholders. Processes documentation may be in workflow, procedural, policy, or other formats, as appropriate for the process.

  • Delivers client presentations, facilitates leadership alignment and stakeholder engagement sessions, and assists in the completion of required deliverables.

  • Engages in on-going analysis of operational services to identify and report on patterns / trends and recommend solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Participate in administrative operations to determine the adequacy of present processes and procedures to improve organizational operations.

  • Assists the program office in the timely completion of projects or activities of an urgent nature.

  • Supports corporate development activities as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with 7 years of professional work experience. Or Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of professional work experience.

  • professional work experience supporting Federal Government programs, performing related tasks including but are not limited to: business writing, elicitation for system requirements, business analysis, documenting processes, and practices, coordinating, and overseeing user acceptance testing for projects, while demonstrating excellence communication, time and project management, problem solving, organization, and analysis

  • Experience supporting federal government (preferably in HHS or public health domain).

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of business, including experience writing reports and client or public-facing documents, as well as communicating complex concepts effectively through MS PowerPoint, including creating custom visuals and customization of slide masters.

  • Organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and prioritize resources and time effectively.

  • Comfort with quantitative analysis in Excel, for example with pivot tables and conditional formatting, as well as the ability to translate analysis findings into easily digestible visuals or communications.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and develop successful professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time (must be local to National Capital Region).

  • Must be willing to provide supervisory/professional references.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Direct, hands-on experience with HHS and systems/processes including EPLC. Or in public health domain.

  • 3 years of management consulting experience within the public sector

  • Understanding and Experience with UX and agile principles

  • Experience with use of analytical and visualization tools (i.e., PowerBI, SAS, Tableau, R)
