Job Summary:
Suvi is hiring a talented Organizational Change Management consultant to support the U.S. Health and Human Services Office of the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs (ASPA). Ideal candidate will possess experience in Organizational Change Management (OCM), preferably in federal government, Health and Human Services (HHS), and/or Public Health domain. This individual will support the identification, development, and implementation of OCM activities in support of the client organization and its people and processes. Management Consulting experience strongly desired.
Job Responsibilities
Our OCM Consultant will help our HHS client transform their business processes, improve efficiency and operations, increase transparency, and promote continuous improvement, and comply with Federal laws and regulations. This includes:
Interacts with clients to help identify organizational change risks and define mitigation strategies and plans. Gains and maintains an understanding of operations, objectives, and challenges within HHS program office/client organization.
Prepares and communicate well-organized communications and presentations to clients and senior executives
Proactively assists in the delivery of engagement activities and manages completion of deliverables
Delivers client presentations, facilitates leadership alignment and stakeholder engagement sessions, and assists in the completion of required deliverables.
Guides client and internal subject matter expert conversations toward effective outcomes
Develops strategies to solve complex OCM challenges for our clients
Helps identify organizational change risks and define mitigation strategies and plans.
Works with clients and other teams to systematically align organizational change management plans and activities with those being conducted by other teams (e.g. functional and technical teams).
Works with clients to define training, communications, and support requirements, develop plans and help with the execution of those plans.
Mentors and provides leadership to Junior Consultants.
Engages in on-going analysis of operational services to identify and report on patterns / trends and recommend solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Participate in administrative operations to determine the adequacy of present processes and procedures to improve organizational operations.
Assists the program office in the timely completion of projects or activities of an urgent nature.
Supports corporate development activities as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related disciplines.
12 years of professional experience (6 years of experience must be practicing organizational change management methods, tools, and techniques)
Experience supporting federal government (preferably in HHS or public health domain).
Knowledge of best practices and procedures in process improvement, program evaluation, policy analysis, project management, and public administration work.
Thorough understanding of change management concepts and frameworks, such as ADDIE, ADKAR, and the Connor & Patterson Commitment Curve
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of business, including experience writing reports and client or public-facing documents, as well as communicating complex concepts effectively through MS PowerPoint, including creating custom visuals and customization of slide masters.
Organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and prioritize resources and time effectively.
Experience leading one or more tasks or work streams within a client engagement, overseeing individual contributions as well as potentially overseeing the work of additional engagement or junior staff.
Comfort with quantitative analysis in Excel, for example with pivot tables and conditional formatting, as well as the ability to translate analysis findings into easily digestible visuals or communications.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and develop successful professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time (must be local to National Capital Region).
Must be willing to provide supervisory/professional references.
Desired Qualifications:
Direct, hands-on experience with HHS and systems/processes including EPLC. Or in public health domain.
3 years of management consulting experience within the public sector
