Job Summary:

Job Responsibilities:
Conducts a variety of human resources related actions including developing positions descriptions, staffing requirements, and recruiting, assessing, hiring, and relocating personnel.
Develops benefits plans and strategies.
Develops and analyzes compensation plans.
Processes personnel actions such as raises, bonuses, benefits enrollment, severance and separation actions, and workers compensation claims.
Develops personnel policies and procedures and communicating them to employees.
Assists personnel with outplacement, job transition, separation, and retirement.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
4 years of work experience supporting the federal government
Ability to obtain an HHS Public Trust clearance.
Must possess experience in all fields of HR and specialized expertise in one or more areas of Human Resources
Must have advanced proficiency in at least three (3) MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across various functional groups.
Excellent oral and written communication skills including strong writing/editing/proofreading skills (must have excellent grammar, syntax, spelling, and punctuation).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in which priorities shift quickly with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and budgetary requirements.
Must have the ability to work independently or under only general direction.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time (must be local to National Capital Region or willing to travel on short notice).
Desired Qualifications:
- Direct, hands-on experience with HHS or in public health domain
