Job Responsibilities

  • Develops, formats, edits revises, processes, reviews, and coordinates organizational policies and procedures within established guidelines.

  • Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge of overriding executive and other guidance and initiatives involving the development and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

  • Ensures that all internal and external materials and communique are errorfree, high quality, and consistent with standards and requirements.

  • Enhances the organization's awareness of policy updates.

  • Revises and manages the policy and procedures repository.

  • Validates and documents processes, guidelines, exceptions, authority levels, and workflows.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 6 years of professional work experience supporting the federal government

  • Ability to obtain an HHS Public Trust clearance.

  • Must possess experience in all fields of HR and specialized expertise in one or more areas of Human Resources

  • Must have advanced proficiency in at least three (3) MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Power Point).

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across various functional groups.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including strong writing/editing/proofreading skills (must have excellent grammar, syntax, spelling, and punctuation).

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in which priorities shift quickly with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and budgetary requirements.

  • Must have the ability to work independently or under only general direction.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time (must be local to National Capital Region or willing to travel on short notice).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Direct, hands-on experience with HHS or in the public health domain
