Suvi is hiring a talented Data Analyst to support the U.S. Health and Human Services. Ideal candidate will possess experience in enabling data-driven decisions through use of analytical methods and effective visualization products. This individual will play a pivotal role in conducting in-depth analyses of government-procured products and services and help streamline operations, boost decision-making capabilities, and optimize performance outcome in the federal domain. Job Responsibilities
Develops data analytic opportunities to model, simulate, and recommend optimal recommendations to problem areas, or hypotheses, using incomplete or imperfect data.
Creates user focused intake and data collection processes for multiple stakeholders and multiple initiatives. Mines various data sources and or providing visualization and analysis of complex data structures. Develops, drives, and tracks the definition of fundamental metrics and helps create dashboards and scorecards using data collected to share with a broad audience.
Coordinates with subject matter experts to gather the appropriate data required for collection and analysis Maintain usability of data collection process, implementing changes and updates business requirements evolve Complete routine QA assessments on the intake collectors, dashboards, and scorecards.
Analyzes data systems to identify opportunities to implement new ways to innovate processes, inform decision makers, reduce risk, and drive outcomes
Reviews and reports on project metrics to benchmark effectiveness. Advises and assists in the development of analytic methodologies that provide quantitative, statistical, and qualitative analysis that will be used by the government to make decisions to optimize KPIs as outlined by the government
Supports Business Analysts and Developers on project teams as they document their data requirements and establish thorough specifications.
Conducts facilitation sessions to gather requirements.
Builds logical models.
Works with Database Administrators to build the physical model and overall data architecture. Works closely with Database Administrators and Developers to ensure that business models are accurately implemented in application systems.
Provides education on the naming and modeling standards and assists with modeling specific constructs. Reviews project models to ensure adherence to standards.
Ensures data quality alignment.
Works on, and across, multiple projects to ensure consistency in naming conventions and promotes the sharing and reuse of data across applications and business areas.
Ensures that data analysis goals are met.
Contributes to data management internal projects as well as the upgrading of standards and best practice guidelines.
Delivers client presentations, facilitates leadership alignment and stakeholder engagement sessions, and assists in the completion of required deliverables.
Engages in on-going analysis of operational services to identify and report on patterns / trends and recommend solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Participates in administrative operations to determine the adequacy of present processes and procedures to improve organizational operations.
Assists the program office in the timely completion of projects or activities of an urgent nature.
Supports corporate development activities as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
3 years of relevant work experience.
Experience supporting federal government (preferably in HHS or public health domain).
Working with data management tools and software (SQL, R, etc.). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is Highly desired - Power Pivot and Power Query. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint is required.
Demonstrated creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems using various analytical techniques and logic models.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of business, including experience writing reports and client or public-facing documents, as well as communicating complex concepts effectively through MS
PowerPoint, including creating custom visuals and customization of slide masters.
Excellent oral and written communication skills including strong writing/editing/proofreading skills (must have excellent grammar, syntax, spelling, and punctuation).
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and develop successful professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time (must be local to National Capital Region).
Must be willing to provide supervisory/professional references.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred in analytical disciplines.
Direct, hands-on experience with HHS and systems/processes including EPLC. Or in public health domain.
1 years of management consulting experience within the public sector
Understanding and Experience with UX and agile principles.
Experience with use of analytical and visualization tools (i.e., PowerBI, SAS, Tableau, R) or demonstrated experience (classes, training, etc.)
