Job Summary:
Akima Global Technology has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed Quality Assurance Technician. This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization.
Job Responsibilities:
Support the quality manager in the implementation of an ISO/IEC 20000 compliant service management system (SMS) for the program (the set of all policies, plans, and processes that define the governance for the program).
Following implementation of the SMS, the quality assurance technician is responsible for auditing compliance with published policies, plans, processes, and work instructions.
Responsible for a yearly audit using an existing standard checklist to ensure that all requirements of ISO/IEC 20000 are still being met.
Responsible for executing the Audit Plan and assumes the role of the Audit Manager.
Conduct audits at the request of program leadership and approved by the program manager.
Maintain a master schedule of audits planned for the year.
Plan each audit and identify impartial auditors. The quality assurance technician will also define the scope of the audit, how the audit will be conducted, how results will be recorded, and how the audit will be reported to stakeholders.
Assist the quality manager to support the continual improvement process, the corrective actions process, the risk management process, the document control process, and the SMS training and awareness program.
Minimum Qualifications:
An active/adjudicated Secret Clearance is required for consideration.
BA/BS 3 years recent specialized or AA/AS 7 years recent specialized or a major cert 7 years recent specialized or 10 years of recent specialized experience.
Successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner.
Candidate will be required to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment that will require team interaction and coordination of efforts.
Must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users.
Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% - during discovery activities.
Desired Qualifications:
Additional ITIL Certification(s)
Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
Process Improvement certification.
Experience working on a program that has gained an ISO/IEC 20000 certification.
Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs.
Experience working in the Department of Defense.
