Job Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Electrical Supervisor, the incumbent oversees operations of maintenance and repairs on electrical systems on center including substations, manholes, street light systems, building exterior lights, generators and electrical equipment controls.
Maintains, repairs (including installation) of various HV electrical systems.
Reads line diagrams and schematics for HV systems and equipment control.
Performs switching of the high and low voltage distribution equipment to buildings and substations.
Operates aerial lift as needed.
Performs daily inspections of the Substations.
Ability to read, understand and interpret technical manuals, shop directives, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, specifications, verbal and written instructions
Responsible for completing daily work orders documenting inspections, maintenance and repair information, to include work performed, materials used and hours worked on each assigned work order.
Operates motor vehicles in accordance with company vehicle policies.
Complies with applicable federal, state, NASA, GSFC, and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) environmental laws and regulations.
Follows CFSI furnished information directives; Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Policies and Procedures, and contract requirements.
Complies with health and safety rules and procedures; performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.
Incumbent will at all times wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined by position and duties.
Knowledge and understanding of blueprints/floor plans.Meeting deadlines and handle potentially highly-stressful situations.
Creates and maintains a positive team atmosphere with effective interpersonal skills
Works professionally with a variety of people and personalities.
Communicates effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
California Certification from the (DIR) California Department of Industrial Relations is required.
IAW applicable Federal, State and local laws, codes and regulations.
Pay Rate: $52.00 per hour, plus Health & Welfare fringe dollars as defined under the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
