Job Summary:

Truestone is looking for Electronics Technicians at our location in Tobyhanna to help repair various avionics equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Tests, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies, overhauls, and installs a variety of electronic equipment and system with dense and complex circuitry.

  • Equipment serviced includes but is not limited to airborne surveillance and navigation systems, data annotation systems, automatic flight control systems, infrared detectors and jammers, radar, warning systems, etc.

  • Connects equipment to specialized test sets and test equipment and conducts specified tests; connects environmental tests as required to assure equipment is operable at varying temperature extremes.

  • Pinpoints and replaces defective parts; conducts operational tests, aligns and adjust repaired equipment.

  • Completes test data sheets.

  • On new or modified equipment configurations, assists in the solution of practical design and test problems.

  • Determines most efficient work sequences by trying various stepby-step procedures; suggests most appropriate location of equipment mountings, cable routings, and wiring and harness assemblies.

  • Identifies changes required to documentation and recommends changes in design or improved maintenance procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have an Associate Certified Electronics Technician (CETa) certification.

  • Must be able to solder and be IPC certification ready, read, understand and interpret drawings and blueprints and fabricate and repair electronic components in accordance with drawings, standard work documents, technical reference orders, technical manuals, technical orders, etc.

  • Must have detailed knowledge of Electronics Theory and applications.

  • All electronic technician levels must be able to perform soldering which complies with standards such as IPC 7711/7721 and other industry soldering standards

  • Work requires normal color perception, close eye-hand coordination, and body movements such as sitting, kneeling, bending, climbing, standing, crawling, stooping, and lifting.

  • Considerable standing and bending required when performing work at bench. Installation work requires bending, stooping and climbing within and outside equipment or shelters.

  • US Citizen with ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
