Ventilation Equipment Tender (Evening)- Able to obtain TS Clearance

Job Summary:

Akima Intra-Data is looking for a Ventilation Equipment Tender to help monitor building systems for a 24-7 facility in St. Louis.

Job Responsibilities:

• The incumbent tends ventilating and heating equipment, such as fans, vacuum pumps, compressors, vents, and ducts.

• Adjusts variable air valves to regulate temperature of areas, and manipulates controls to regulate speed of fans, adjust vents and ducts, records gauge readings.

• Adjust temperature setpoints, balances flows, and investigates temperature excursions.

• Performs minor repairs or preventive maintenance activities.

• Writes repair work order tickets and out-of-order tags preparatory to equipment repair, inspects equipment to detect excessive noise and heat, replaces gauges and tightens leaky fittings, using wrenches, hammers, and other tools.

• Cleans carbon deposits, pitch, and grease from fans, vents and ducts, using scrapers, hammer, and vacuums. Monitors building management system on off hours.

• Triages incoming notifications and either remedies the situation or calls for additional support.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 Year of Ventilation Monitoring Experience

• Highschool diploma or GED equivalent

• Valid Driver's license

• Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

• SCADA experience
