This position requires that the employee must successfully complete criminal history information background check and drug screening and be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. Must be able to attain TS/SCI clearance.
Job Summary:
Supervises the coordination of goods and services needed to complete the Operations and Maintenance work. Contacts vendors to expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with operations and shipping schedules. Manages the inventory value and oversees cycle counting when needed to monitor inventory.
Job Responsibilities:
Reviews operational schedules and confers with O M Staff to determine material required for operations.
Works with suppliers on overdue or missing materials.
Maintain SDS documentation for all chemical materials ordered.
Makes sure records are complete and accessible.
Creates purchase orders in proprietary computer system.
Maintains vendor records in accordance with Company policy.
Matches delivery and billing records to purchase orders.
Requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material.
Practices Just In Time ordering of materials to reduce costs.
Arranges for transfer of materials to meet operational schedules.
Arranges with other groups for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments.
Examines material delivered to verify materials meet specifications.
Computes amount of material needed for specific job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes as needed.
Compiles reports of quantity and type of material on hand as needed.
Arranges for transportion of material from one department to another, using hand truck or industrial truck as needed.
Compiles and tracks inventory records in order to locate material using manual or computerized system as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Computer experience, Microsoft Products, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree.
One year experience in Logistics.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to multitask while staying organized.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Customer friendly and able to speak clearly and answer the phone.
Ability to research parts independently.
Familiarity with basics of building maintenance.
Good communication skills necessary.
Strong attention to detail.
Must be able to read and write English.
Desired Qualifications:
Archibus experience preferred but not required.
Preferred experience in Facility Management.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions.
Physical demands include intermittent sitting, standing, and walking, and occasional bending reaching and lifting.
Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where likely result would be cuts, bruises, etc.
