This position requires that the employee must successfully complete criminal history information background check and drug screening and be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
**Job Summary: **
The Locksmith as a full-time, on-site position responsible for the for maintenance, repair and minor construction for facility components and lock systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, repair, open, and change locks on doors and other structures, as needed.
Duplicate keys, re-key locks, and service electronic access equipment and devices using special tools and equipment, as needed.
Maintain a thorough record of changes and additions to the facility’s Key System.
Maintain and repair automated door openers and hold opens for ADA access points.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a US Citizen.
Must possess a HS Diploma or GED.
Must successfully complete a background check to include criminal and credit and obtain a government Top Secret clearance.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug Test.
Possess or able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance with eligibility to access Sensitive Compartmented Information.
Must have a working knowledge of various power saws and basic woodworking principles.
Possess 3 – 5 years of experience performing locksmith duties.
Must possess or be able to obtain a forklift license.
**Desired Qualifications: **
Possess a Top-Secret security clearance with eligibility to access Sensitive Compartmented Information.
0-2 years of woodworking experience.
Possess a current forklift license.
Work Conditions:
Work hours are normally 7 am to 3:30 pm daily, with overtime, and weekend work as needed. Hours may need to be shifted to prevent mission interuption. .
On call required for emergency and after hours events.
Work is performed indoors and outdoors.
Outdoors work is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions.
Subject to hazards that may cause personal bodily harm; diseases, cuts, bruises, burns, common colds, influenza, dust odors and elevated noise levels.
Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclines, hand and soft-carpeted floors, cement, and surfaces.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be required to stand; walk; sit; lift up to 50 lbs.; bend; reach; carry; stoop; kneel; use hand and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; speak; or hear.
This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment, such as hardhat, safety glasses, goggles, face shields, hearing protection, work gloves, chemical gloves, respirator, and safety-toed boots for a full shift.
The individual must be able to read and interpret safety regulations, procedures, and hazard analysis and implement environmental, safety, and health requirements into work tasks.
