Job Summary:

The mission of the USGS Geology, Energy & Minerals Science Center (GEMSC) is to assess the nations and the world’s undiscovered energy resources and to investigate the environmental effects of resource extraction. To achieve this mission, the Center’s research program includes long-term and geographically extensive efforts to address large problems through a series of conceptually linked studies. This includes work in a variety of energy basins, and fundamental research related to energy resources and energy-related environmental issues.
