ASE is looking for an experienced Software Developer to work in support of Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) in Orlando, Florida. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Researches, designs, and develops computer and network software or specialized utility programs.

  • Analyzes user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

  • Updates software or enhance existing software capabilities.

  • Builds and refines applications using various programming languages and tools and collaborate with the team to deliver integrated and high-performing software solutions.

  • May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

  • This position is fully on-site as the systems used are air-gapped.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in software development, with programming languages such as Python, Pandas, and PyTorch, and experience with Machine Learning.

  • Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering, specializing in Software Engineering.

  • Proven experience in writing, updating, and maintaining efficient, testable, and well-documented code to handle specific jobs such as data handling (CRUD), executing workflows, or executing custom business rules.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a penchant for teamwork.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance strongly preferred.

  • Data Science and/or big data experience.

  • Familiarity with Spark, SQL, Seaborn, Matplotlib, Plotly, and Dash.

  • SQL and GUI project experience, along with database development. 

  • Experience working in large data environments with HPC systems to effectively manage and manipulate large datasets.
