Job Responsibilities:
Installs, configures, and maintains an organization’s LAN/WAN networks, data communications network, operating systems, and physical/virtual servers (Windows & RHEL 7/8).
Manages network devices, protocols, and ensures compliance with security policies, using ACAS for vulnerability/compliance assessments and adhering to STIG guidelines.
Recommends and schedules Information Assurance (IA) related repairs in the network environment.
Performs system monitoring and verifies the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems.
Reviews system and application logs and verifies completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.
Analyzes network and server resource consumption and control user access; installs and upgrades software and maintains software licenses.
May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum ten (10) years' experience configuring or maintaining networks, performing system monitoring, updating/upgrading components, reviewing systems and application logs, performing backups, analyzing and troubleshooting network performance, conducting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, performing change management and ensuring system performance and availability.
A.S. or B.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical degree. Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree.
COMPTIA Network or similar industry certification.
DoD Approved IAT Level II Certification (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA , GSEC, Security CE).
Understanding of RMF fundamentals and IAT Level II Network Enterprise (NE) knowledge and skills.
Cisco networking component experience (router, firewall, switch).
Active Secret Clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of RHEL 8 (utilized on NAS and ACAS VM), VMware 7 administration, vCenter, and VM management.
Experience maintaining domains and DCs with Active Directory, Synology NAS appliance maintenance, and knowledge of networking.
Knowledge in ACAS scanning/reporting, firewall rule creation, and writing switch configurations from scratch.
Proficiency in managing Synology NAS appliances and adhering to STIGs for various platforms.
