Job Summary :
Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS) , is actively seeking Engineering, Professional, Technical, and administrative support personnel as part of our staff augmentation team supporting the Department of Energy at the Y‑12 National Security Complex located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and the Pantex Plant located in Amarillo, Texas.
Successful candidates will be employees of AIS, a premier government contractor charged with employing highly motivated and well-qualified personnel who can advance Y-12's core mission to ensure a safe, secure, and reliable U.S. nuclear deterrent, which is essential to national security. Though employed by AIS, the employee will take day-to-day direction and assignments from Y-12 staff employed directly by the security complex. Pay, benefits, Human Resources, and Employment Management functions are provided by AIS.
Qualified applicants must be a US citizen, at least 18 years of age, and able to meet pre-employment requirements including any required physicals, drug screen, and/or background investigation to satisfy clearance requirements from the Department of Energy.
Clearance not required to begin work but must be able to obtain and maintain a Q clearance.
Schedule is a Monday thru Thursday, 4 x 10-hour shift. This will be a Hybrid Teleworker position.
Job Responsibilities:
High level of technical expertise, leadership and support for the software quality assurance and software engineering life cycle including conceptual design, requirements definition, functional and computer system design, systems development and programming, implementation, testing, installation, and configuration management associated with enterprise level application software systems
Experience in programming languages, frameworks, and tools such as: C#, .NET Web API, JavaScript, eact, JSS, SAP HANA SQLScript, Git version control, and npm package manager
Experience with the suite of tools and language comprising a modern web development stack.
Familiar with the RESTful programming paradigm
Familiar with the relational database model and has a foundational knowledge of stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
Comfortable in various IDEs including visual studio and visual studio code.
Strong understanding of the Git version control methodology
Experience with the React programming model and has created enterprise scale SPAs, preferably using Redux as your data model and the MaterialUI React framework.
Effective communication skills and demonstrated success in a team environment.
Experience with ITIL processes and agile development practices is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum Education/Experience: BA/BS Degree plus 5 years of direct experience required, or a MA or MS with 3 years or more years of experience.
