Job Summary:
Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS), is actively seeking candidates to support personnel as part of our staff augmentation team supporting the Department of Energy in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Successful candidates will be employees of AIS, a premier government contractor charged with employing highly motivated and well-qualified personnel who can advance customer's core mission. Though employed by AIS, the employee will take day-to-day direction and assignments from customer staff and procedures. Pay, benefits, Human Resources, and Employment Management functions are provided by AIS.
Qualified applicants must be a US citizen, at least 18 years of age, and able to meet pre-employment requirements including any required physicals, drug screen, and/or background investigation to satisfy clearance requirements from the Department of Energy.
Job Responsibilities:
May supervise subordinate operations staff.
Prepares and maintains operating plans.
Administers basic and programmed overhead budgets.
May perform career counseling, performance evaluations, and recommend salary actions as required.
Interfaces with multiple organizations and/or projects to establish standard, effective project planning, measurement and control techniques.
Provides specialized assistance to Project Managers in carrying out their responsibilities.
Demonstrated skill in preparation of procedures and reports.
Demonstrated skill in administration functions.
Skilled in oral and written communications.
Minimum Qualifications:
Level 6:
Education: Bachelor’s in engineering or relevant technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 10 years, Engineering, Construction, or Operations experience.
Level 7:
Education: Bachelor’s in engineering or relevant technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 12 years, Engineering, Construction, or Operations experience and in-depth knowledge of the specialty are and a knowledge of principles and practice of related specialties.
Level 8:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 15 yrs. Operations experience, with specialized knowledge of operations methods to the solution of specific Level Specific Responsibilities: Reports to and receives technical and operational direction from the Project Operations Staff Manager or Project Manager.
