Job Summary:
Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS), is actively seeking candidates to support personnel as part of our staff augmentation team supporting the Department of Energy in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Successful candidates will be employees of AIS, a premier government contractor charged with employing highly motivated and well-qualified personnel who can advance customer's core mission. Though employed by AIS, the employee will take day-to-day direction and assignments from customer staff and procedures. Pay, benefits, Human Resources, and Employment Management functions are provided by AIS.
Qualified applicants must be a US citizen, at least 18 years of age, and able to meet pre-employment requirements including any required physicals, drug screen, and/or background investigation to satisfy clearance requirements from the Department of Energy.
Job Responsibilities:
Serves as the primary communication link to all customer personnel.
Initial point-of-contact for events and query calls and alarms.
Prioritizes calls & ensures immediate & appropriate response is initiated.
Develops & executes telecommunications via; telephone, mass notification, radio, fax & computer.
Notifies senior management, local, state & federal government agencies, & the site population within stringent regulatory time limits that, if not met, can cause regulatory violations.
Executes initial notification to senior management for all routine & emergency situations.
Activates the Event Response Teams and directs responders with safe route information.
Initiates the TEMA Notification form.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: At least 12 years of relevant experience, preferably in a security-related position is required; or an equivalent combination or education and experience will also be considered. 20 years of relevant experience is required without a bachelor’s degree; 16 years of relevant experience is required with an Associate degree.
*An active DOE Q or L clearance is required.
