Job Summary:
Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS), is actively seeking candidates to support personnel as part of our staff augmentation team supporting the Department of Energy in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Successful candidates will be employees of AIS, a premier government contractor charged with employing highly motivated and well-qualified personnel who can advance customer's core mission. Though employed by AIS, the employee will take day-to-day direction and assignments from customer staff and procedures. Pay, benefits, Human Resources, and Employment Management functions are provided by AIS.
Qualified applicants must be a US citizen, at least 18 years of age, and able to meet pre-employment requirements including any required physicals, drug screen, and/or background investigation to satisfy clearance requirements from the Department of Energy.
Job Responsibilities:
Fully competent in all aspects of the job.
Strong proficiency in enterprise document management, relational databases, and internet-based project collaboration systems.
Responsible for overall project administration in area of document management
Oversees internal/external document review process.
Assists with the creations and documentation of requests to destroy records.
Maintains proper document configuration management in support of engineering and construction.
Interfaces with project material control scheduling, expediting and client engineering to ensure time/cost effectiveness of engineering and construction.

Provides input to weekly project status reporting.
Displays extensive knowledge of scope control and impacts on project information management.
Applies sound judgement and experience to effective leadership of the project information management function.
Assumes mentoring and training role, as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s degree in records management, business administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Experience: 12 years of related experience; with at least 2 years lead or supervisory experience with the company preferred. Minimum of 8 years direct information management experience in the areas of engineering, supplier/subcontract, and field construction document management, including direct supervisory experience.
Requires advanced working knowledge of commonly used records/document management applications and systems. Requires broad working knowledge of records/document management policies, procedures, and programs; experience across multiple organizations and functions is preferred.
