Job Summary:
Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS), is actively seeking candidates to support personnel as part of our staff augmentation team supporting the Department of Energy in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Successful candidates will be employees of AIS, a premier government contractor charged with employing highly motivated and well-qualified personnel who can advance customer's core mission. Though employed by AIS, the employee will take day-to-day direction and assignments from customer staff and procedures. Pay, benefits, Human Resources, and Employment Management functions are provided by AIS.
Qualified applicants must be a US citizen, at least 18 years of age, and able to meet pre-employment requirements including any required physicals, drug screen, and/or background investigation to satisfy clearance requirements from the Department of Energy.
Job Responsibilities:
Reviews requests for financial and other contribution support and determines appropriate approval authority level.
Administers the contributions programs and prepares annual budgets and presentations on the programs.
Maintains records and reports of political contributions and expenditures prescribed by law.
Advises management of policy guidelines regarding memberships and contributions.
Researches and writes special reports and presentations such as operating plans.
May help direct the activities of assigned staff.
Independently researches, interviews, and writes stories and articles for a variety of publications.
Performs creative writing assignments such as speeches for senior management and special brochures.
Prepares press releases for media.
Develops ideas for publications, approves stories and graphics approach and may direct the activities of a segment of the writing staff responsible for publication(s).
Edits copy for accuracy, grammar, and style.
Establishes and implements short and long-range objectives for publications and develops procedures to ensure goals.
Develops new communications approaches for supervisor review.
Plans and implements customer's Public Affairs advertising program.
Develops new advertisements, plans media programs and monitors progress of the advertisements.
Plans and implements communication programs, including media programming for customer's participation in community activities.
Coordinates employee participation in the technical information program by reviewing and placing technical papers in trade publications.
May plan and organization customer employee team-building activities and celebrations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Level 1:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: No experience required for college graduate with bachelor’s degree.
Level 2:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 2 years of relevant experience.
Level 3:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 5 years of relevant experience.
Level 4:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 8 years of relevant experience.
Level 5:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 10 years of relevant experience.
