Job Summary:

AID is looking for Structures Engineering Technician to work at Keesler AFB, MS.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Works in Operations Engineering Department under general supervision of a degreed engineer to support asset management and life-cycle optimization of Keesler AFB facility structures and roofs.

  • Manages requirements identification and prioritization for structure and roof systems.

  • Works with Operations to develop and implement a program to analyze the condition of structures and roofs and make recommendations for infrastructure longevity and improvement.

  • Conducts infrastructure system assessments and maintain asset databases

  • Conducts root cause analysis of infrastructure failures and provide recommendations for system improvements.

  • Analyzes customer work requests to validate requirements, estimate workload/material costs and make design recommendations.

  • Supports post-storm recovery infrastructure assessments.

  • Develops/updates/manages Asset Management Portfolios (AMP) and sub-AMP(s) for building structures and roofs.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10 years’ relevant work experience in general construction

  • Associates degree in engineering technology or vocational school equivalent

  • Certifications appropriate for level of experience

  • Ability to pass a National Agency background check

  • Valid Driver’s License
