Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced engineer with a strong background in the Department of Defense (DoD) domain and a specialty in training and simulation. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing technical performance and in communicating intricate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience or familiarity with software development is a significant advantage.
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with DoD and internal teams to ensure the successful execution and delivery of training and simulation projects.
Facilitate development of solutions by the engineering team and provide key input for development of feasible approaches to complex problems.
Evaluate and manage technical performance, ensuring that all engineering standards and best practices related to training and simulation are upheld.
Design, develop, and maintain simulation systems, ensuring their fidelity, efficiency, and user- friendliness.
Simplify and translate complex technical concepts into understandable language for non-technical audiences, ensuring seamless communication and understanding across departments.
Stay updated. Keep the business unit informed on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the training and simulation industry to ensure that our systems remain cutting-edge and relevant.
Liaise with software teams, if necessary, to ensure the successful integration of software components into training and simulation modules.
Provide technical training and support to team members and other stakeholders as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees preferred.
Proven experience in the DoD sector, with a focus on training and simulation.
Critical thinker with problem-solving skills.
Demonstrable ability to manage technical projects and teams to successful completion.
Strong communication skills, especially when explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Familiarity or Hands-on experience with software development and engineering is a plus.
