Job Summary:
The System Administrator, Windows Active Directory SME will be responsible for managing and supporting Windows Active Directory, servers, and workstations within a DoD environment. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of DoD regulations, directives, and policies, and will be proficient in PowerShell scripting, Active Directory Service Management, and automation.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and support Windows Active Directory (2016 or later), Servers (2016 or later), and Workstations (Windows 10 or later).
Secure systems and applications in accordance with DoD regulations, directives, policies, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
Manage Endpoint Configuration manager, Intune, Ivanti.
Utilize SPLUNK, ACAS, and WhatsUpGold for various administrative tasks.
Manage Windows Server and Workstation operating systems in a Virtual Machine Operating Environment (VOE) like VMware.
Patch Windows servers and workstations via automated tools.
Backup and restore Active Directory and Windows operating systems in a virtual environment.
Manage and review audit logs.
Support Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) agents on Windows systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant certifications in Windows Active Directory and system administration will be an added advantage.
IAW DoD 8140.03-M, must meet the Intermediate Proficiency Level qualifications.
At least five years of experience managing and supporting Windows Active Directory (2016 or later), Servers (2016 or later), and Workstations (Windows 10 or later).
Experience securing systems and applications in accordance with DoD regulations, directives, policies, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
Experience managing Endpoint Configuration manager, Intune, Ivanti.
Experience utilizing SPLUNK, ACAS, and WhatsUpGold.
Proficiency with PowerShell scripting, Active Directory Service Management, Group Policy, and automation.
Experience patching Windows servers and workstations via automated tools.
Experience backing up and restoring Active Directory and Windows operating systems in a virtual environment.
Experience in managing and reviewing audit logs.
Experience supporting Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) agents on Windows systems.
Security Clearance:
- Must possess an active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access.
