Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides Project Control Analyst support to the Project Manager for selected projects within the AGS Organization.

  • Assists Project Managers and operation leads in all duties related to financials and performance, planning, tracking, and reporting.

  • Initiates, monitors and maintains proper project setup in Deltek Costpoint.

  • Processes include project number structure, funding setup, revenue and billing formula setup, project ceilings, labor categories, billing rates, rate sequence, project workforce, etc.

  • Develops project cost/schedule baselines and budgets.

  • Monitors project actuals and resolves issues.

  • Develops monthly project financial forecasts/EACs and conducts variance analysis.

  • Monitors the project’s burn rate against funding remaining.

  • Initiates and routes at risk forms for projects that are required to perform at risk.

  • Analyzes project reports to identify and resolve issues.

  • Performs quarterly unbilled analysis.

  • Communicates project status and findings to Project and Operations Management monthly at a minimum.

  • Month End Close activities.

  • Consistently meets all required deadlines (contract modifications, project setup changes, accruals, at risk approvals).

  • Documents project status each month on SharePoint to support corporate month-end close reviews.

  • Proactively monitors project timecards, ensures timecard errors are identified and assists with corrections timely a manner.

  • Ensures accuracy of project-related expense reports and ensure timely processing Project A/R and A/P:

  • Ensures subcontract/vendor payments are processed and coded correctly and in timely fashion.

  • Provides customer specific invoice backup.

  • Reviews and approves draft invoices prior to submission to customer.

  • Monitors billing and payment status of customer invoices.

  • Performs monthly accrual calculations.

  • Assists PM with invoice collection.

  • Assists with tracking contractual obligations and deliverables.

  • Work authorizations.

  • Identifies and analyzes project risk.

  • Development and execution of internal and external project reviews.

  • Generation and analysis of financial reports.

  • Communicates timecard and expense practices for the project.

  • Funds notifications to the customer (i.e. 75 letters).

  • Maintains project files on SharePoint.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business-related field preferred.

  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience providing project accounting support for services contracts for Govt. customers.

  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, proactive.

  • Track record of delivering well-organized and accurate work.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to work well with accounting, contracts, and project personnel to accomplish tasks.

  • Strong Excel skills to include VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and PivotTables.

  • Experience using Deltek Cost Point.

  • Understand of EACs, ETCs, and unbilled analysis.
