Job Summary:
Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS), is actively seeking individuals who can contribute to national security within the project management and business services fields as part of our staff augmentation team supporting the Department of Energy at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). AIS has an established history of contributing to the success of our customer’s mission.
Successful candidates will be employees of AIS, a premier government contractor charged with employing highly motivated and well-qualified personnel who can advance the missions of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory located in Golden, CO. Though employed by AIS, the employee will take day-to-day direction from technical personnel employed directly by the research laboratory. Pay, benefits, Human Resource, and Employment Management functions are provided by AIS.
Qualified applicants must be a US citizen, at least 18 years of age, and able to meet pre-employment requirements including any required physicals, drug screen, and/or background investigation to satisfy clearance requirements from the Department of Energy.
Job duration is projected to be a 12-month period of performance w/ an option for extension.
Job Responsibilities:
NREL is currently in the middle stages of migrating from SharePoint Server 2013 to SharePoint Online. We are looking for someone with extensive SharePoint experience. The successful candidate will work hands on with the NREL in-house SharePoint Team to execute an aggressive migration plan.
With direction from team leadership, independently and collaboratively perform application redevelopment from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online, using Power Platform and Out of the box solutions.
Work with customers and internal team, to consult and gather requirements where needed, for full application understanding.
Work with internal customers and team to review their existing sites, confirm site ownership, agree site migration strategy and timelines and perform site migration on behalf of the customer.
Work with internal customers and team to review their applications and workflows, confirm application ownership, agree application re-purpose strategy and timelines and design and re-purpose the existing applications into the new Power Platform environment.
Work with team to look for ways to improve the process based on platform and industry best practices.
Minimum Qualification:
Extensive SharePoint experience (SharePoint Server 2013/Online)
SharePoint Server 2013 – Strong Knowledge/Ability
SharePoint Online – Strong Knowledge/Ability
Power Platform experience – Strong Knowledge/Ability
Communication skills – Strong Ability
Stakeholder engagement – Strong Ability
Education and Experience:
BA/BS degree in an applicable field
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 1 large scale SharePoint/O365 migration project
SharePoint Migration Tools (SPMT, ShareGate, etc.) – Strong Knowledge/Ability
General Office 365 Enterprise experience, with an understanding of how SharePoint works with O365 – Good Ability
Nintex Forms and Workflows – Strong Knowledge/Ability
Analytical skills – Good to Strong Knowledge/Abilities
Special Requirements:
Pre-employment Drug Screen - External applicants selected for this position are required to successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.
Medical Exam(s) - Job related pre-placement medical examinations may be required for this position.
This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance from the Department of Energy.
If determined as such, this position would be identified as a Workplace Substance Abuse (WSAP) testing designated position.
WSAP positions require participation in an ongoing random drug testing program in addition to the pre-employment drug screen.
Pay and Benefits:
Salary Range: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour – The salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, work experience, and their ability to meet the known requirements of the position as determined at the time of hire. Job location will also be a factor in determining the salary offered.
