Responsibilities:
independently support the Agency’s Property Management Program by closely coordinating with the Agency’s Property Management Branch utilizing the Defense Health Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) application/database. Creates “Due-In” receipts within DMLSS in preparation for IT commodities projected to arrive at the JBSA Warehouse after contract award. Scans all incoming/outgoing IT components at the warehouse into the DMLSS database which starts the Agency’s Property Book and accountability process.
Independently support the Agency’s Asset Management Program by utilizing the agency’s Asset Management Database (AMdB). Maintains database’s integrity, providing all equipment transfers within the AMdB. Ensures all incoming/outgoing IT components that arrive at the warehouse are scanned into the AMdB by the Agency’s Warehouse and Logistics support staff which begins the Lifecycle Management process and tracks each IT component procured by the Agency throughout its lifecycle from initial acquisition to disposition. Utilizes BMC Remedy Incident Management to track workload.
Provides internal warehouse logistics operations that include the operation of heavy equipment that include but are not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, shrink wrap machinery etc. (number of personnel to be identified prior to award). Required to maneuver large, palletized bundles of IT hardware from freight shipping vehicles to staging areas, storage shelves and vice versa. Prepares shipment “bundles” by schedule, configuration, and priority. Clearly labels shipments by Project/Program, destination location and contract number. Lifting of up to 50lbs. may be required.
Conducts Defense Reutilization Management Office (DRMO) support activities in conjunction with Project/Program owners and the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) ultimately ending the lifecycle of an IT component and the Agency’s property management accountability responsibility.
Ability to review IT component shipment requests and determine if they are correct and appropriate for the effort identified.
Provides a 24X7X365 on-call critical component break-fix support service for the Agency periodically requiring a warehouse staff member to enter the warehouse outside of their normal tour of duty to retrieve components from shelf spare stock and prepare them for immediate shipping.
Utilizes Vendor provided safety clothing to include but not limited to steel toed shoes, heavy duty utility gloves and hardhats prior to entering or working in the JBSA AMSS Warehouse.
Creates and routes form DD1149 for government signature prior to making any shipments.
Calls and schedules the pickup of shipments from the warehouse on behalf of AMSS.
Conducts a quarterly inventory of all assets within the warehouse.
Minimum Qualifications:
Familiar with the following software applications including but not limited to the MS Office Suit, MS Access, MS Visio, BMC remedy, Service Now and Defense Medical Logistic Standard Support (DMLSS).
Thorough knowledge of computing, network, ancillary and telephony hardware is highly preferable.
Minimum of one or more years of experience.
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a client specific Public Trust.
