Job Responsibilities:
Be responsible for reporting readiness and overall management of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the vehicle fleet, weapons, communication equipment, Night Vision Devices and the daily supervision of unit SAMS-E operators and Motor Sergeants for all supported units
Monitor Class IX spending via ZPARK, man-hour accounting submission
Be able to brief at the General Officer level
Monitor, Review and submit AMSS reports and be able to brief reports of subordinate units
Provide maintenance reports to supported battalion headquarters with up-to-date status of all battalion equipment.
Constantly keep the Command abreast of maintenance issues and systemic problems
Monitor the adherence of Safety of Use Messages and installation of Modification Work Orders
Provide technical guidance to units through briefings and identifying problems
Be familiar with the family of FMTV, LMTVs, M1113s, M1151s, M1165s M1152s, M1097s, M1038s, MRAPs (RG31, RG33 and MATV), GMVs, ATVs, Snow Mobiles, Generators, and other power driven equipment that may require Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Technical Manuals assigned to the designated SF Group - Serve as the customer SME on all maintenance related issues
Perform repairs and services at the Organizational and intermediate levels of maintenance for all Army Common equipment
Perform all scheduled and routine unscheduled vehicle maintenance at the unit site and off site if deployed to another CONUS location
Perform engine, transmission and electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic on assigned equipment to determine required repairs IAW applicable technical manuals
Must be capable of replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings or other engine parts that have become unserviceable on all types of Army common vehicles
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a US Citizen
Must possess a valid state driver’s license
Must possess or is capable of securing and maintaining a US Secret Security Clearance
Must be able to stand, sit, bend, reach and walk for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift and carry 60lbs
Must have experience working on the Family of Special Operations Military Vehicles along with at least 10 years of standard maintenance experience and performance
