Job Summary:
AKIMA Construction Group consists of multiple companies (Portico, Jade Creek and our newly formed 8(a) Artic Peak) and is rapidly growing within the southeastern region of the USA. Jade Creek (An AKIMA Company) is seeking Senior Construction Program-Project Manager with solid experience managing Federal construction projects to join our team. We provide global Construction Management Services as a General Contractor in support the federal government (DoD, DoJ & FedCiv). The PM manages a team of professionals that comprise the Project Management Office, including a Safety Manager, Scheduler, Estimator, Project Specialist, and Site Superintendent.
The Junior Project Manager’s responsibility is to assist and the Senior Project Managers in the field construction of a project and to complete the Work on schedule, within the budget and to the quality of workmanship specified.
This is an entry level management position and is a training and growth opportunity in the construction trades, specifically in Federal domestic Department of Defense contracts. This is an apprentice type role to support Senior Project Managers in the performance of daily coordination for multiple construction projects.

Work locations may include various job sites in Annapolis, and Southern Maryland, you may be able some work from home, and some work will be performed on job sites.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist on site PM with pre-construction planning.
Submittal preparation, tracking of pre-approvals, review of required construction documents.
Subcontractor coordination with the guidance of senior managers.
Site visits to active/on-going projects.
Real time data collection and reporting as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able and willing to be on work site as needed.
This is an entry level position; previous federal construction experience a plus but not required.
Two years of work experience in a construction, skilled trades, or customer service role preferred.
Microsoft Office experience to include ability to use Outlook, Excel, Word, and scheduling functions.
Great attitude with the willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
Good communication skills, strong command of English, able to read, communicate, and follow instructions in English.
Able to pass a base access clearance, to include criminal background check and a good driving record.
US Citizenship required.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous federal construction project experience.
Previous experience working in one or more skilled trades.
