Responsibilities:

Akima Global Technology is seeking a PM to be located in Dayton, Ohio to lead execution contract efforts largely on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and supporting the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), the Department of Defense’s (DoD) primary source for foreign air and space threats. NASIC produces integrated, predictive intelligence in the air, space, and cyberspace domains enabling military operations, force modernization and national policymaking. NASIC’s information technology (IT) support personnel are embedded across several divisions and squadrons that support and enable NASIC’s varied and unique missions. NASIC requires augmented contract operations and maintenance (O&M) support for the full spectrum of IT services that enable their scientific and technical intelligence production and dissemination for the USAF, DoD, and national level intelligence efforts which include:

  • Communications Focal Point/Service Desk Support/Touch Maintenance

  • Accounts Management

  • Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services Support

  • Software Administration/Installation/License Management

  • Network Services

  • Infrastructure Engineering and Installation

  • Datacenter Operations

  • Windows/Unix/Linux System Administration

  • Storage and Enterprise Backup Services

  • VTC Operations

  • Multimedia Hardware Support

  • Software Vulnerability Testing

  • Systems Engineering

  • Information Technology Service Management

  • Configuration Management Support

  • Cybersecurity

  • Infrastructure as a Service and Cloud Operations

  • Enterprise Application Server Software Administration

  • Physical Access Control System & Intrusion Detection System Operations and Support

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10 years overall experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing delivery of IT Service Management across an IT enterprise or large organization

  • Bachelor’s degree in Scientific, Technical, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or IT related area of study

  • Expertise in at least 3 of the scope areas listed above and experience working in at least 5 others

  • Active Top Secret / SCI (Sensitive Compartmented Information) security clearance with an up-to-date Single Source Background Investigation (SSBI) or equivalent

  • Experience leading teams of over 30 personnel with direct supervision

  • Experience managing a task order contract with potential for multiple active task orders

  • Ability to run a PM Office (PMO) located offsite from Wright-Patterson AFB Dayton OH with support contractors working onsite as well as supporting any of the center’s satellite locations

  • Demonstrated strong verbal and writing skills

  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously

Desirable Skills:

  • PMP certification

  • Min 2 years experience managing a staff working in the TS/SCI environment

  • Managed full range of enterprise IT support work for DoD (ideally USAF) or an Intelligence organization

  • Experience managing IT team on client’s site locations

  • Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 20000 (An international standard for IT service management) and/or ITIL

  • Master’s degree in STEM or IT related areas of study

  • Experience working in agile work environments
