Job Summary:

The Database Management – Subject Matter Expert will be responsible for conducting Tier II and Tier III technical support services for 4,500 users; 13,336 computer accounts; 37 networks; over 2,111 virtual and physical servers of various operating systems and brands; 30 petabytes of disk storage; and over 383 petabytes of tape storage; Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, securing, and reliable operation of organization’s databases.

Responsibilities:

• Candidate will maintain and utilize relational database systems and No-SQL databases.

• Create a backup and recovery strategy for the database, and regularly test the backups to ensure usability.

• Provide technical support for both database systems and related applications; Monitor and optimize the database’s performance.

• Implement and manage security controls, monitoring and reporting requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience; capable of troubleshooting complex IT problems independently.

• Minimum 5 years database administration experience with Oracle, MariaDB and/or MongoDB on Solaris and/or Linux servers.

• 7 - 10 years work experience in equivalent IT career field.

• Prefer BA/BS in a related IT or STEM field of study.

Certifications:

• IAT Level II certification per AFMAN 17-1303, DoDD 8140.01, and DoDD 8570.01-M; Database administration experience with Oracle, MariaDB and/or MongoDB.

• ITIL Foundations is desired.

Clearance:

• An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required for consideration.
