Summary:
The Project Manager (PJM) is responsible for leading the planning, direction, evaluation, and success of substantial programs, systems development efforts, acquisition, and research and development technology initiatives. Assists the Program Manager in working with the government and customer contract personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items. Ensures conformance with program schedules, costs, and performance metrics. Responsible for integrating various functions, including planning, programming, budgeting, scheduling, financial management execution, contracting, cost/risk analysis, engineering, and/or logistics planning. Manages teams of project support personnel.
Additionally, this position serves as an Exercise Planner and as such provides planning design, support, and execution of AFSPC-directed service and joint exercises. Attends planning conferences to establish execution events, timelines, and communication requirements. Introduces emerging technologies to applicable event participants. Participates in and directly supports execution of planned exercises by developing scenario events and acting as white cell participants. Develops after-action reports which capture lessons learned.
Standard project management duties include compliance, oversight and individual administrative tasks include program, project, and individual employee time, timesheet, leave, and training completion; employee performance management; employee compliance with customer organization and company standards; performing other tasks as assigned and demonstrating proficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail in assigned duties.
Job Responsibilities
Performs Program Manager (PM) duties and tasks including:
Directs and manages multiple projects and project managers; is responsible for all assigned project contract services and products delivery (including deliverables), human capital and resources lifecycle management (including recruiting, selection, hiring, onboarding, performance, human capital sustainment, discipline, professional and personal growth), procurement, training, fleet, financial, project control, timekeeping, travel, expense, reporting, and administrative management.
Coordinates all Shared Services Staff support for the projects.
Develops, implements, and manages project plans.
Contributes to and assists with other activities as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
An Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access is required.
Master’s Degree in Arts or Science required with 15 years of experience, or Bachelor of Arts or Science with 20 years of experience managing activities on contracts of similar size and scope.
Required Skills/Certifications:
Operations Management experience including five (5) years of specific experience in C2 systems, Air Weapons systems, Modeling and Simulation/DMO.
High level of problem-solving skills and the ability to recommend and implement alternative set-up and/or operations for complex systems.
Detail-oriented and possesses the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Excellent customer service skills and professional presence. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to read, speak and effectively communicate in the English language.
Solid work ethic.
Desired Qualifications:
- Program/Project Management Professional Certification highly desired.

- This position is Salaried Exempt.
Salary Range: $115,000 – $125,000 – The salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, work experience, and their ability to meet the known requirements of the position as determined at the time of hire. Job location will also be a factor in determining the salary offered.
