Job Responsibilities:
Provide proactive and strategic leadership for the multi-disciplinary engineering team, offering direction, expertise, and support to ensure project deliverables are successfully achieved.
Lead technical aspects of projects, presentations, and meetings.
Serve as the senior engineer representative/liaison tor synthesizing construction and operations information for our Air Force customer at Keesler Air Force Base.
Coordinate engineering department, R&O, and operations activities with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to work product schedules and deliverables.
Establish and achieve goals for product/process innovation and improvement while assuring compliance with current Quality Assurance programs.
Schedule and lead multi-disciplinary meetings, providing updates and recommendations to ensure that all reasonable and proper measures are taken to incorporate discipline expertise and innovation into project work.
Mentor staff to support their growth and professional development. Provide employees of the engineering and operations teams with the necessary resources to perform their roles effectively.
Deploy management best practices throughout the organization. Establish processes, templates, and tools to expand and mature capabilities in the organization.
Verify all required project documents have been completed and filed (to include: Builder Updates, subAMPS, engineering package, certifications, construction checklists, operation and maintenance manuals.).
Responsible for hosting internal project wrap-up and lessons learned sessions, summarizing and working with all departments to incorporate lessons learned.
Works independently to provide guidance and leadership to senior management team and project members, with strict adherence to QA/QC.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; Master’s degree in engineering or business administration preferred.
Minimum of 15 years of engineering, design and or facilities management experience.
Minimum of 7 years of experience managing, operating and maintaining complex facilities and infrastructure.
Registered professional Engineer or Architect.
Base Civil Engineer or Public Works Officer level experience at USAF, USN or US Army bases.
Strong understanding of civil, mechanical and electrical engineering required.
Strong knowledge of relevant engineering and construction codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing intricate ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
Proficient in MS Office suite of products.
