Responsibilities:
Engineer, secure, deploy, operate, and maintain a Cyber Virtual Training Area (CVTA) to support classroom instruction and individual distance learning
Provide support to learning course managers on the use of Glance, Heat, Horizon, and other applications to allow them to create their own course environments
Works closely with enterprise technology, applications, and project managers to design major infrastructure components and processes; plans architectural improvements in coordination with project managers and provides architectural guidance and support to infrastructure engineers and quality analysts.
Remain current with emerging technologies and participates in strategy setting; promotes adoption of strategic technologies; provides support in ROI analysis and project portfolio management leveraging infrastructure, infrastructure application rationalization, recommends systems for upgrade or retirement; develops target technology/software standards and guidelines.
Analyze Gov’t provided POIs and use provided virtualization technologies to virtualize the content to implement and provide Classroom as a Service (CRaaS) for schoolhouse.
Define and document target architecture models, processes and policies related to core infrastructure; anticipate growth and ensure scalability of the infrastructure to include servers, storage, network, and infrastructure applications.
Lead architecture reviews and audits, including technical security, disaster recovery and business continuity programs; Serve as a SME for design of technical infrastructure to integrate solutions into existing technology standards
Proficiency at architecting VMware virtual environments
Apply IT expertise, including supporting feasibility studies, technical evaluation, justification, acquisition/procurement, installs, implementation, mgmt, & admin of IT and cybersecurity systems
Minimum Qualifications:
An Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility is required for consideration
10 years of relevant experience required.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science/Information Technology/Information Security or related field institution highly preferred.
Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT II) certification required.
