Job Summary:

Under supervision of a shift lieutenant, performs physical security and resource protection related tasks and activities.

Job Description:

  • Manning of installation fixed posts.

  • Performing entry control at base access gates, ensuring only credentialed personnel are allowed access to Arnold Air Force Base.

  • Manning of mobile and foot patrols to ensure base facilities are areas are secure.

  • Maintaining presence for crime prevention/deterrence.

  • Initial responses to major accidents or incidents, initial investigation of incidents and completion of required forms and reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must successfully complete pre-employment fitness test and once a year to requalify consisting of: cardiovascular endurance (200 meter run without walking) and a 1-mile run in under 12 minutes either walking or running) and a muscular strength/endurance ( 25 - push-ups and 20 - sit-ups).

  • Must be 21 years of age.

  • Must be able to obtain a TN Armed Security Guard/Officer License.

  • Must be able to maintain qualification and authority to carry firearms.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license.

  • Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Must have completed a US Military Law Enforcement Academy or Accredited Civilian Law Enforcement Academy. (Must submit documentation of completion).

  • Must present a professional image in accordance with Air Force Instruction 31-122, Dress and Appearance Standards.
