Job Summary:
Akima Data Management is currently seeking a Admin Staff Action Officer to join the team and their responsibility will include but not limited to the following:
Job Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support for the DoD Special Access Program Central Office (SAPCO).
Perform tasks and services for daily operations in areas of normal administrative and action-officer (AO) service functions.
Examples include action suspense tracking, workload prioritization, calendar maintenance, communications, correspondence and distribution services, reporting, procurement of administrative supplies, property administration, completing and coordinating security management, forms, graphics, printing, word processing, files and records as well as travel and transportation, directives, and training.
Project Management activities assigned on Outlook and portal calendars. Monitor due dates and coordinate with project managers on upcoming tasks.
Coordinate, and assist in completing official correspondence and documents for General Officer /SES signatures including letters, notices, instructions, and memoranda.
Provide support on assigned fitness report and performance evaluations, awards, training, personnel, security, facilities support.
Support office communications and the control and access of personnel and guests into secure spaces.
Assist in completing and track/follow-up on assigned Action Packages and division documents in routing.
Maintain updates on portal sites, documents, links, libraries, announcements, lists and contacts.
Provide comprehensive support services for daily operations in areas of normal administrative service functions to include action suspense tracking, workload prioritization, calendar maintenance, correspondence and distribution services.
Support to government lead for reporting, procuring administrative supplies, property administration, security management, forms, graphics, printing, word processing, files and records.
Minimum Qualifications:
10 years' experience as an administrative assistant, editor, or technical writer; 5 years' experience working with DoD.
Bachelor's degree (preferably in technical writing, communication, or related field). May substitute degrees for relative experience performing similar job description.
Familiarity with the use of the Defense Travel System.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous Special Access Program experience.
Experience working in the Pentagon.
Experience working with General Officers / Senior Executive Service members.
