Job Summary:
The Material coordinator coordinates and expedites flow of IT material, parts, and assemblies within the warehouse and DoD in accordance with distribution schedules, warehouse manager and supervisors' priorities.
Job Responsibilities:
In this job, the Material Coordinator establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material; arranges for transfer of materials per coordinated customer schedules.
This Material Coordinator and scheduler monitors and controls movement of IT material and parts from the warehouse for specific job orders within DoD, uses a calculator; compile report of quantity and type of material to be shipped, creates a daily schedule, provides weekly, and monthly delivery schedule analysis, and coordinate the transport of material from one department to another.
Additionally, be also serve as a driver upon demand and to balance distribution work capacity.
Minimum Qualifications:
This role may require company vehicles to be driven.
Must be US Citizen.
Must have and or able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
Two years recent experience with Remedy BMC 9.1 for the management of IT Supply Chain and distribution work-orders.
One-year recent experience as a Driver supporting distribution operations for DoD within the NCR.
Ability to lead and direct delivery operations within the NCR, to northern Pennsylvania and as far south as Hampton Roads Virginia
Proven ability to communicate and coordinate with DoD customers at all levels via email and or telephone effectively and succinctly.
Must have a High School Graduate/GED
Must have three (3) years of administrative experience required to include at least two years’ operating personal computers.
Must have knowledge of all Microsoft Office products required.
Ability to also serve as a driver upon demand and work balancing requirements.
Must possess and continuously maintain a current Driver's License prior to start date or by 30 days after employment.
Must receive a favorable background check and maintain drug-free testing results.
Be able to attain forklift certification within 30 days of hire.
Material & Equipment Directly Used:
- Computer, copier and software programs.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Participate in random and annual drug and alcohol testing.
Work is generally conducted in a warehouse environment.
Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs.; stooping; climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting; and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to excessive heat during summer months.
Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and abide with COVID19 protocols.
PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Steel Toes are required.
Must comply with Akima, OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules.
Reports to the Warehouse Manager and functions somewhat independently.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Work is generally conducted in a shop environment.
Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs; stooping; climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting; and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents.
Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required is certain areas Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, vision and hearing protective devices.
