Job Summary:
Tuva, an Akima company, is looking to hire a Processing Section Lead to support their DoE client in Albuquerque, NM.
Job Responsibilities:
Will be dealing directly by phone or e-mail with clearance applicants/incumbents, DOE officials, contractor customers, and local and national members of the security community frequently in order to obtain information required to continue clearance actions.
Requires a high attention to detail as even minor errors may significantly impact clearance-processing actions.
The Lead is often the first/last person to take action on a file that might impact an individual’s eligibility, or continued eligibility, for a DOE access authorization.
Must recognize priorities and process work in the priority order established by OPFCC.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Subject matter expertise and hands-on experience in one or more security and/or intelligence discipline.
Experience implementing complex government security and/or intelligence programs and policies is preferable.
Possess strong organizational and administrative skills and must be proficient with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook mail/calendar).
Experience in performing supervisory and liaison functions between subordinate employees.
Experience in performing liaison duties between the contract and government are desirable. Knowledge, skill and ability to; review and process personnel security documentation, ensure that documentation is necessary in order to ensure that personnel security eligibility and trustworthy determinations are processed in a timely manner.
Effective reading comprehension and detail recognition skills are required.
Good communication skills are necessary because direct contact by phone or e-mail with clearance applicants/incumbents, DOE officials, contractor customers, and local and national members of the security community is frequently essential in order to obtain information required to continue clearance actions.
Attention to detail is required as even minor errors may significantly impact clearance-processing actions, and this employee is often the first/last person to take action on a file that might impact an individual’s eligibility, or continued eligibility, for a DOE access authorization.
Incumbent must be able to recognize designated priorities and process work in the priority order established by OPFC. Incumbent must possess time management skills to be able to prioritize work to meet/exceed timeline parameters established by DOE/NNSA and contract.
Must Be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active DOE Q Level clearance is highly desired.
