Job Summary:

AFO is looking for a Lead Entry Control Officer to work in Albuquerque, NM. This position is being posted to promote from within.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Acts as Lead/senior team member, manages schedules, handles daily active reports, oversees shift changes for guards and security escorts, and reports directly to the site security manager.

  • Serves in the capacity of Reception Clerk for visitors to the DTRA/SCC WMD.

  • Validates visitor’s information and issues the appropriate badge for escorted or unescorted entry into the facility.

  • Assist visitors with contacting their government points of contact.

  • Provides directions to visitors.

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook programs and databases in order to perform the varied administration duties required by the Security Division.

  • Able to communicate clearly orally and in writing.

  • Knowledge of force protection protocol and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma

  • Must have acted in a lead role in security operations, and be familiar with Kirtland AFB security SOPs.

  • Three (3) years of experience in a security customer relations position with the Government

  • Security training.

  • Must have current Secret Clearance
